Su fatorgiu is a story about the passage of time and the life cycle told through the vision and daily life of two Sardinian women. Two artisans who grew up in Urzulei, a small town in the center of Sardinia. In their daily lives, Gigina and Elvira share how they grew up immersed in the asphodel craft tradition, a cultural practice at risk of being lost, offering a brief yet poignant exploration of their lives and the tradition they strive to preserve.
Biografia
Alonso Crespo is an independent filmmaker and documentarian. He studied photography and documentary cinema in Mexico and has directed four short documentaries to date. He is currently completing his first feature-length film. His work has been selected for festivals such as Roma Cinema Doc, Oaxaca Film Fest, Ortometraggi Film Festival, Shorts Mexico, and Transatlantic PHotoEspaña.
