Si Vîf is an intimate portrait of Carnic singer-songwriter Gigi Maieron, seen through the sensitive lens of director Dorino Minigutti. Focusing more on the man than the artist, the film unfolds through candid conversations set against mountain landscapes, revealing personal memories: a complex relationship with his mother, the tension between artistic passion and family life, and the grief of losing his daughter. Biografia
Dorino Minigutti is an independent filmmaker and producer based in Friuli. He has directed numerous documentaries in collaboration with RAI and various public and private institutions. On behalf of the University of Udine, he created educational fiction in Friulian as part of EU projects for minority languages. In 2010, he co-founded Agherose, with which he directed and produced Big John, L’Atlante della Memoria, Oltre il filo, Si Vîf – une vite di musicant, and the docuseries IL MONT intune pagjine, Altris Feminis, Int/Art, and Nûfcent.
