Sinossi

Through the portraits of three solitary men and a Palestinian Bedouin family, Abele evokes the shepherd as an ancient archetype, bearing witness to communities relegated to the margins of cities and territories. Set in Sardinia and Palestine – two distant lands connected by pastoral history – the film follows Abel’s resistance to the transformation of his pastures and the looming shadow of a permanent conflict. From military ranges and deconsecrated churches to army-surveilled villages, it traces a journey of survival and resilience in extreme landscapes.
